Hammered Men’s Wedding Band
I recently completed a wedding band for gentleman who wanted a bit more character than a traditional plain wedding band.
I love mixing it up like this!
Hammered wedding bands are customized to give it a more unique and rugged look.
A goldsmith’s hammer is used to create the dimples in the band. After the hammering step is completed, a texture wheel is used to soften the bright spots in the ring.
Benefits of a Hammered Finish
A hammered finish on a ring provides a number of benefits, the first being that you won’t notice the scratches as much from everyday wear.
Most wedding bands that are made with a precious metal will scratch fairly easily. If you have a hammered or other type of finish on your ring, it’s going to be a lot less noticeable.
Getting a hammered finish on your ring is a great way to change it up! It’s great for people who are outdoorsy or do a lot of work with their hands.
